Happy 4th of July!
I love spending the 4th of July in Manzanita complete with the small town parade and fireworks on the beach.
Of course we all dressed in red white and blue!
The kids applied their patriotic tattoos and head gear and we were ready to head down to the parade.

One of my favorite things in the parade each year - the giant flag!
The dancing librarians are my total favorite! They stopped right in front of us and did their routine!
Perfect day for a parade! The kids always have fun catching the candy the parade participants throw out.
Kelly the Crab Man is always a hit! Passing out crab legs along the parade route.
After the parade we had a BBQ and then headed down to the beach to wait for the fireworks.

There is always a game of Blongo Ball going on!
The big bubble wand was a hit too.
Of course there is a bonfire and s'more roasting.
The fireworks were a little bit of a disappointment this year. Someone new had taken them over and they just weren't as good. We didn't buy any of our own this year but we did have plenty of sparklers.
