MORP

Last weekend was MORP - which is the girl ask boy dance.

Over a month ago I asked Tessa if she was going and she assured me she wasn't.  You may remember that she assured me she wasn't going to Homecoming either and then at the last minute, a few days before, she changed her mind.  She wanted to go with a group of friends that were going.  Fortunately for me and for her she wore one of Cali's dresses and we found the perfect pair of red shoes easily.

So 3 days before MORP - she changed her mind, again.  I was at a RS meeting Tuesday night when I got a text from her - "Guess what - I decided to go to MORP - ha ha!"  Since I was leaving for Utah the next morning for Clark's surgery she was on her own!  I wouldn't get home until the night before the dance.

The theme for the dance was The Zoo so in order to ask her date she sent him a bunch of bananas each class period (she had someone deliver them) and then the last period of the day a bunch of bananas was delivered with this cute note.
Since the theme was zoo they decided to dress up as zoo animals.

Tessa decided to be a penguin and her date was a toucan.

Now I am still not quite sure I am totally over this but I was not invited to come take photos. I have to admit I was quite insulted and my feelings were hurt but I'm getting over it - I think.

As a result there are only two photos to commemorate this event - two that were taken at the dance.

You can't see it but Tessa also wore yellow keds to complete her penguin look

Her friend Rachel was a flamingo  and Karma was a peacock.

They had a good time and had dinner at IHOP prior to the dance.

What Color are You?
