Smart Cookie Photo Shoot

So call me crazy - I know a lot of you already do - admit it!
But we decided to have two graduation parties.  One for Tessa and Rachel and all their high school friends and then another one for Tessa for our good friends and neighbors.

The theme for the second party is Smart Cookie because she is such a "smart cookie"  We are going to have a milk and cookie bar for the party.

So of course we had to do another photo shoot for the invite for this party.  Again lots of cute photos!  Way does she have to be so darn photogenic!

Sail Away Photo Shoot

Tessa and her friend Rachel decided to have a joint graduation party.  It works well since they have so many mutual friends.

They decided on a nautical - Sail Away theme for the party since they are both "sailing away" to college.

We had a fun little photo shoot to get some pictures for their invite.  There were so many cute ones they had a hard deciding which ones to use!

Mother's Day

Jim and the girl's put together a yummy Mother's Day breakfast for me before church.

I had been wanting to recreate the waffles they serve at the Waffle Window in SE Portland so I did some research and found a recipe for Belgian Waffles that used pearl sugar.  We made a trip to IKEA to buy some and picked up Tessa's college bedding at the same time.

I also found a recipe for a wheat free/sugar free waffle for Cali that they made too and it was pretty darn good!

The waffles turned out amazing.

Then for dinner they fixed a nice pork tenderloin. I made dessert and it was quite delicious - pavlova with lemon curd and strawberries.

There were some pretty flowers for the table from the garden.

And a pretty new garden art flower for the garden from Jim.
I nice day.

Beaverton Farmer's Market - Opening Day

Last week was the opening day of the Beaverton Farmer's Market.  We were so excited.  We love visiting the market and try to go as many Saturdays as possible during the summer.

The weather cooperated and we got the girl's to wake up early on Saturday morning and we headed out.
Tessa and I enjoyed crepes for breakfast while Cali and Jim split an omelet.

There was lots of pretty produce and we even found some yummy gluten free cupcakes for Cali and some yogurt made out of goat's milk which she can have!

There were plenty of pretty flowers too.

The girl's bought me some plants to put in my pots for Mother's Day - now if it would just warm up enough to get them in the pots!

It was a fun morning!

DECA - Orlando

I have a little blog catch up to do!  Jim and the girl's are at a Portland Timbers game tonight (his early Father's Day present) so I'm home alone and trying to get a few things done.

At the end of April Tessa went to Orlando with DECA.  She had qualified to attend the National DECA convention and give her fashion promotion plan.

She was ready to go from the very beginning!

From the looks of her photos we are not sure she really attended any DECA events - I guess there were a few.

I think the majority of their time was spent enjoying all the fun theme parks.  They went to Disney World.

They had fun visiting all the different countries in Epcot Center.
And she managed to get a really nice sun burn the first day at Typhoon Lagoon

And then they got to go to the new Harry Potter world too!  She had her first butter beer which she said tasted just like cream soda.
One of her favorite things was the fireworks display in the evening - amazing!  And the Electric Light Parade
She had a great time but she missed us and was ready to come home.  We missed her too!!
