Saturday was the opening day of the 2011 season of Saturday's Market here in Portland and there was also no rain! How much better can it get.
We decided that a trip down to the market was the perfect thing to do with the boys and Emily and the girls and Richard and Tamara who arrived on Friday to see the show. It was so fun to have so much family here to see and support Tessa
We love and appreciate all of you so much!!
We had fun browsing the different vendor booths at the market. (Clark picked up a cute cupcake apron for a "friend" and the girls found a surprise to take home to Ward)
Of course we had to check out the food vendors too - yum.
It was a perfect day for a walk along the waterfront.
Of course you never know what you'll see on the streets of Portland!
We were hoping Emily would let us keep Addi and Jacky but no go - we love those two cuties! Logan talked them into calling me Grandma Leigh Anne but I told them I liked Aunt Leigh Anne better!!
Who could resist this face!!?? The classic Addi look!
Too cute!
Both girls enjoyed seeing the market from a higher vantage point
Jacky got her Totally Tessa on for a few photos!
Logan tried to talk the girls into running under the water in the fountain but they were just a little too smart for that one!
My favorite photo from the weekend - Clark playing Pretty Pretty Princess!!
I"ll let you guess what he was saying to his mother in this photo!
Jacky requested a little crafting session so we made them some cute banners to hang in their new rooms- when they get a new house!!
Such a fun weekend!!!!

Totally Tessa Photo Shoot
Jacky and Addi had fun being part of a Totally Tessa photo shoot while they were here.
They were naturals!
Wearing curlers in your hair is the new thing here in Portland! Not really but Tessa needs to curl her hair for the show so she has to wear them all day! Quite a fashion statement.
Then they got a little crazy!

More Hairspray
Friday morning Clark flew into Portland for the show. We all went to pick him up and then headed over to the Waffle Window on Hawthorne for breakfast.
We ordered 8 different types of waffles!! There was one with Brie, Bacon and Basil, an apple pie waffle, blueberry cheesecake, strawberries and cream, chocolate and peanut butter and one with jalapeno, cheese and bacon which was delicious! So many fun flavor combinations.
Addi decided she really liked the ham and cheese waffle and wasn't sharing!
They were all so yummy and we managed to eat them all!

Opening Night
Opening Night of Hairspray was a huge success. An almost sold out crowd and a standing ovation!
The kids did a great job and it was so fun to see it all come together. After having watched dress rehearsal several times without a full audience it was so fun to watch it with an audience and see how the crowd reacted to all the humor etc. The crowd loved it!
Emily, the girls and Logan made it here about half way through the first act so they were able to sneak in and see the rest of the show. It was a fun surprise for Tessa to see them at the end of the show.
Our neighbors the Adams were there to see the show too.
They were selling little autograph books that had pictures of the all the cast in it and it was fun to watch all the kids come up and ask for autographs.
We are so proud of our Tessa!!!
Here's Amber and Linc
