Saturday Morning Breakfast

Last Saturday Jim and I renewed our tradition of going out to breakfast on Saturday morning.  We headed over to NE Alberta to try out Hesler's.  It is just down the street from one of our other favorite breakfast spots - The Tin Shed.

We only had to wait about 10-15 minutes, not bad for Portland on Saturday morning!!

I had an amazing dutch baby pancake with fresh Oregon strawberries and whip cream - so good!
I didn't eat the whole thing but almost!
Jim had some brisket hash which was delicious too.

Two good choices.

We spent the rest of the day at a beautiful wedding for the daughter of our good friends, The Vinegelens.  Anne Vingelen had been Logan and Clark's first grade teacher and we have been friends ever since.

The wedding was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been too - it was like something out of those bridal magazines.  The wedding was a full Catholic Mass in a beautiful cathedral in NW Portland.  The reception was a full dinner (Steak and Salmon) at the Art Museum in the beautiful ballroom.  It was amazing!  It was so fun to be a part of it.

Sunday was a quiet day around here - Jim had Bishopric meeting and lots of other meetings so it was just me, myself and I.

The McKenzie River

On the way home from Sisters last week we made a stop to do a little hiking along the McKenzie River.  We walked through a beautiful old growth forest.

There were some pretty amazing waterfalls along the way too.

Just confirmed we live in one of the most beautiful places on this earth!!

Betsy  got brave and dipped their feet into the FREEZING cold water.  I did not.
So beautiful!
