Aflac Day at Bullwinkles

It was so nice to be home this last week.  I spent a lot of time just getting caught up.  The last month has been a blast with my trip to Europe, Girl's Camp, my mom's birthday celebration and our family reunion but I was so ready just to be home for a while.

I'm still not caught up in my office but I made progress.  Thursday I did another appearance on one of the local "magazine" type shows .  I did a segment on kid products invented by moms.  It was fun

Friday, Cali had to work but Tessa and I and my friend Marsha headed up to Camas, Washington for Camas Days.  It was fun and we found a few fun treasures at the Camas Antique Mall.  I found another chair!  This time it is an old 1940's high chair.  I think it would be perfect for a photo shoot.  Now I just need to find a baby/toddler to take pictures of!

One of the coolest things at Camas Days was this lemonade wagon - so cute.  I want one!!
Tessa had a strawberry lemonade.
Friday  night Cali and I went to see Inception.  Jim had already seen it with the boys and Tessa wasn't interested in seeing it.  We loved it but think we need to go see it again just to try and figure everything out.  One of the best movies I've seen in a long time!

Saturday we headed down to Wilsonville to Bullwinkle's Fun Center.  None of us have ever been before.  Aflac was having a big family day there so everything was free.  There was also a lunch, awards ceremony and a big family Bingo game.  Tessa won a prize.

We had fun.  The girls and I tried out the race cars - they just didn't go fast enough!

There was a hard ropes course the girls did and then they checked out the batting cages.  Tessa thanked me for never putting her in softball.  She said, "I am really bad at this!" Neither girl might have been great at hitting the softball but they sure looked cute!
Giving me their tough girl look!

After the Awards Ceremony Jim joined us for a round of putt putt golf.

Always the queen of accessorizing - Tessa's shoes even matched her golf ball!!
The last ride of the day was the water boats (not sure what they are really called)  It was a hot day so the water felt good and it is a good thing because they got SOAKED.  Unfortunately I couldn't go on the ride because I had my camera and didn't want it to get wet (wink, wink).

Tessa seemed to keep getting stuck in the middle of the entire group and everyone ganged up on her!
Jim even came after me - I was standing on the side taking pictures and I got wet!

They had a blast!

The ride home was a little wet but worth it!

As soon as we got home Cali had to change and head to work to work the 6:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. shift!  They were doing inventory.  The rest of us headed over to the ward Piioneer dinner and program.  Jim made a dutch oven cobbler for dessert.

Sunday morning we attended the mission farewell for Devan Theurer.  Devan did an amazing job.  Devan is 22 and a English major - the spirit was strong and he was so eloquent.  Just wish the boys could have been there to hear him.  He will be an amazing missionary.  He is headed to Las Vegas.

We left there and headed to our Sacrament meeting where Tessa was talking.  She gave a great talk on Celestial Marriage and Eternal Families.  She expressed her gratitude for the great example her grandparents have set for her with 60 and 51 years of marriage.  She talked about our family reunion and how wonderful it was and that the family reunion we have in heaven will be even better.  We were proud of her!

Sunday evening we had our friends the Daines over for dessert and a round of chicken foot.  We had blackberry cobbler and peach crisp with maple cream sauce - yum!  We love the Daines, especially cute little Addy and Owen!

We've had a hot week here - in the 90's.  It finally feels like summer!

Thanks for sharing all the fun activities. Glad you didn't have to feed the masses and do a million things once again. WE LOVE YOU!
