Prom Weekend

What a fun - and sleepless weekend we had!

Saturday night was Prom but it was almost a 24 hour event!

It began Saturday morning with a nail appointment for Cali (since we didn't have to buy her a dress we splurged on a few pampering treatments)

She had her toes and nails done She then had her hair done by a lady in the ward. She wanted a soft, romantic hair style - it turned out wonderful. Isn't she gorgeous!

The next stop was the MAC counter at Nordstrom where she had her makeup done.

Jamison came over to the house for pictures and so did the neighbors!

Jamison did good and got her a beautiful corsage that had a pretty rhinestone bracelet as the armband - so pretty!

Cali's friend Hannah was out of town for the weekend so she let Jameson and Cali use her convertible VW Bug. They drove with the top up on the way to the dance to preserve the hairdo but had fun with down on the way home.

After pictures at our house we went to one of Cali's friends house where the group they were going with met for more pictures. Thank goodness for digital - I took a ton of pics!!

After pictures they headed downtown to Typhoon a Thai restaurant for dinner. Saturday was such a beautiful day - almost 80 degrees that they were able to eat outside. The dance was also outside at the World Trade Center in downtown Portland. They had a great time and then after the dance headed to the bowling alley for some Cosmic Bowling.
After bowling (1:30 a.m.) they came to our house for chocolate and cheese fondue that I had waiting for them. We kicked out the boys at 3:00 a.m. ( I know Logan and Clark - I am getting soft in my old age) and the girls spent the night.

I had a meeting at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning so only got about 4 hours of sleep. Cali was able to sleep in as all the graduating seniors had been invited to the singles ward in our stake and they don't meet until 2:30 p.m. - she was so happy!
I was in bed by 9:00 p.m. Sunday night! Fortunately the girls didn't have school today, Monday, so we could sleep in!

What an adorable couple...Cali looked beautiful!

It's funny...here in CA prom dresses are short and formal dresses are long.

So glad the weather cooperated. It sounds like they had a blast. It was great of you to have the kids over post prom. We did that also one year...they all came home from prom for breakfast at our house. Oh the fun memories!
