Last week our ward held their annual Senior Quilt Night. It is a lovely evening that the Young Women put on for the graduating seniors.
They serve dinner (this year it was pasta) for all the Young Women and their mothers. Then after dinner the Relief Society sisters are invited to join us and help tie quilts for all the girls that will be graduating and for dessert.
Tessa wanted a "snuggle" quilt. I made it out of so soft "minky"fabric and backed it with a super soft and lovely satin fabric.
The mother's put the quilts together for their girls (or the girls do it themselves.). Each graduating senior also puts a table display together that reflects them.
The Young Women leaders put together a slide show for each girl. The mom's gave them photos and selected a song to use - I chose Mindy Gledhill's Whole Wide World, a song we all love. I'm going to try and upload the slide show - we'll see if it works. It was very sweet and made us all a little teary.
This quilt is made for snuggling!

DAD
I love the quilt tradition along with the display table. What a wonderful tradition that the girls must all look forward to. (And the mom's)
And, what a nice Dad...
